Title – leave this as it is.
Change headings
Change your headings to the ones that you want. These are known logically as home_left-heading (the left hand heading), home_centre_heading (the middle heading) and home_right_heading (the right hand heading).
Images
You should now upload images to your site that will appear under each heading. So there’s a home_left_image, home_centre_image and a home_right_image. So that they display correctly the images should be on a web server (not just your computer) and be “landscape” in shape. This means that they are wider than they are taller. Click here for more information about finding, using and uploading images to your website.
The 1-2-3 success formula for using images on your website is…
If you don’t click the submit button the image will not be uploaded and won’t appear.
Add the text for the bullet points
Once you’re happy with the images then enter the text for the bullet points that will appear under each heading.
Add the link information
Now add the details for the links. As before, there is one each for the left, middle and right. The link_title is what appears on the screen. This is preset as “read more>>” but you may want to change that to “more” or “Click here for more” etc. The URL is either the name of the page or the web link to get to it.
Create the menu settings
Page title – leave this is home
Parent item – Make sure this is set to Primary links
Weighting – Set this to -9. Weightings can be set at any value between 10 and -10 and decide the order in which items appear, in this case, in a menu. Heavy items sink to bottom and light items float to the top. So an item with a weighting of -9 or -10 would appear at the top whereas one with 9 or 10 would be at the bottom.
